Wycombe Wanderers will launch a new venture aimed at connecting local and national partners and sponsors at the forthcoming Sky Bet League 1 fixture with Rochdale at Adams Park on Tuesday 23rd October.
The inaugural event of the new 1887 Business Club will be sponsored by Utilita, the club’s official energy supplier and front of change shirt sponsor, and will be hosted by well-known sports broadcaster Gary Newbon, who’ll share stories from more than 50 years in the industry, plus an insight into the work of Utilita, as well as a pre-match chat with Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth.
With food and drink available, plus tickets to the game and the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals from local and national businesses in the Honours Lounge, Wanderers are inviting companies to apply to attend the event by contacting email@example.com no later than Wednesday 17th October.
Wanderers’ general manager Michael Davies said: "The 1887 Business Club is a fantastic opportunity for us to build relationships with and for the local business community. We are keen to get on the front foot and utilise networking events to drive more advertising and sponsorship around the club, and at the same time we believe we can connect like-minded sponsors who will benefit from making new contacts within the Business Club.
“I’d like to say a massive thank you to Utilita for their ongoing support and for putting their name to our launch event. As well as being our front of change shirt sponsor, they have met all of our power needs here at Adams Park and at the training ground, and we would encourage all of our supporters to review their own home and business bills to compare how Utilita could be the best energy supplier for them.”
In 2018, Utilita were named a top five supplier for customer satisfaction by Which? and also won a coveted Uswitch award for their app. Utilita have registered enormous growth, jumping from 200,000 to 675,000 customers in just three years, and developed partnerships across the football industry with a vast number of clubs.
