Update from WWFC Fans Council

Tony Sutton takes over as Council chairman.

17 May 2018

The Wycombe Wanderers Fans Council have issued the following update to supporters.

As many of you are aware, Mark Bowring chose to step down from the Fans Council earlier this month.

The Fans Council would like to thank Mark for his work over the last two years - from getting the Fans Council off the ground initially, being part of the success of the 500 Club, and more recently working with the Club on updates to the Customer Charter.

Without Mark’s input, and that of the rest of the Fans Council Committee Members, along with all those fans that attend our regular monthly meetings, the Fans Council would not have become the integral part of the Club that it is today.

We wish Mark well and hope to see him at our meetings in the future.

We are pleased to announce that at our last Committee meeting, Tony Sutton was elected as Chairman of the Fans Council, with immediate effect.  One of Tony’s first tasks is to recruit two new members onto the Fans Council committee – we’ll have more news on those appointments in due course.

Club and Trust chairman Trevor Stroud said: “Mark put in a fantastic amount of work for the Fans Council and on behalf of the club and Trust I’d like to thank him for his efforts in making the Council the success that it has been.

“We now look forward to working closely with Tony to continue the progress that has been made and encourage as many supporters as possible to get involved and have their say.”

Going forward, Fans Council meetings will now be held on the second Thursday of the month, thus allowing us to have Trust Board members attend.

Date for your diary: the first of our regular monthly meetings will be on Thursday 12th July, 7.30pm, Monty’s. We hope to be able to provide updates on:

  • New Fans Council committee members
  • The new Fans Council Charter
  • Priorities and initiatives for the new season

The meetings are public, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible. If there is anything you would like added to the agenda then do please let a current committee member know, via social media @wwfcfancouncil, on Facebook at, or via email:
