In a short interview, Sam said...
You’re a regular at these events Sam – what makes them so special?
I think it’s the fans that come along that make it special and the time given by everyone on the pitch! It’s a real joint effort to make sure we raise some decent money for such great causes.
How much do you enjoy the camaraderie being involved in an event like this?
I like to get involved as much as I can, I mean I am usually the only girl on the pitch so I feel I have to get stuck in!
Although the priority is to raise money for charity, do these games have a competitive edge with bragging rights involved?!
There are a lot of great players on the pitch and they do get a bit competitive! I think it would be a boring game if you weren’t hungry to win!
Who is the best celebrity player on the teams?
Apart from me of course(!), I’d say that Paul Konchesky is an amazing defender - nothing gets past him!
Are you looking forward to coming to Wycombe Wanderers on Monday?
Yes I am, it’s going to be great! Wycombe Wanderers have a great side and Nathan Tyson is an exceptional player!
