Matt Bloomfield says manager Gareth Ainsworth and assistant boss Richard Dobson deserve the plaudits that are coming their way after helping to steer the Chairboys to promotion to League 1.
Writing an extended column for the final edition of Parklife this season, Bloomfield said:
"I must pay tribute to the work that the Gaffer and Dobbo have done this season. The recruitment was genius. Bringing in Ad, followed by Tys and CMS showed what they were going for. Lads who have played at a higher level and know how to win. Added to that some of the loan signings have been inspirational, none more so then Ebere Eze.
"The Gaffer and Dobbo complement each other perfectly. The Gaffer is the figurehead who inspires us on a daily basis and gets the lads to buy into what he wants from us. He gives the lads everything he has got and expects the same in return.
"Dobbo sits slightly further in the background but is absolutely brilliant on the training ground and a very calming influence around the lads. For all their work over the last four years, no one deserves it more than the Gaffer and Dobbo."
