The Wycombe Wanderers Ladies side will be at Adams Park next Wednesday evening to watch the battle of two of the country’s top women’s teams in the FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup Final (k.o. 7pm).
Arsenal and Manchester City go head-to-head in a repeat of the 2014 final, also played at the home of the Chairboys, and Wanderers’ own women’s side hope to learn from the best as they watch on from the stands, alongside guests from Thame United Ladies.
Emma Newberry, secretary of Wycombe Wanderers Ladies, said: “We all take a lot of interest in the professional game and it’ll be great to see two of the best English clubs up close at Adams Park.
“Some of our players have aspirations of developing a career in the game and we’ll all be able to learn a lot from watching Arsenal and Man City, which I’m sure will be an entertaining and close game.”
Andy McIntosh, coach of the Ladies team, added: “The team have come a long way this season and we’re really starting to see the results of hard work in training when it comes to replicating it in matches.
“The opportunity to watch and learn from two top professional clubs will be great for them, so we’re all looking forward to it.”
