Gareth Ainsworth says his side cannot afford to take Port Vale lightly as the Valiants come to Adams Park on Saturday.
After two wins on the road, the Chairboys are back on home turf and looking to maintain their position inside the automatic promotion places against Neil Aspin’s side.
Vale head into the game looking to steer away from danger with eight games left in the Sky Bet League Two campaign, and Ainsworth looks to the example of the Morecambe home defeat as to why his team can't underestimate their opponents.
Previewing the game, Ainsworth said: “Port Vale will be a tough game; they are coming into it on the back of a defeat and will be looking to put that right.
“Morecambe came to Adams Park a few weeks ago and showed us how it was done so there is no way we are going to take this one lightly, not in a million years; teams are scraping for their lives at the bottom of the league.
“I know Neil Aspin well, I played with him and I know he will get his team up for this one. We’ve watched them and have been studying them, and we’ll put something in place and make sure the legs are fresh again for another mammoth job on Saturday.
“Hopefully we can pick the right outfit, the right formation and get the right result on Saturday.”
