A crowd of 2,136 were at Adams Park to witness Arsenal lift the FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup on Wednesday evening following a 1-0 win over Manchester City.

The Gunners gained revenge for a defeat in the final of the same competition in 2014, against the same side at the same venue, thanks to Vivianne Miedema's first-half strike.

City applied late pressure in their bid for an equaliser but Arsenal held firm to win the trophy for the fifth time, making them the most successful side in the history of the competition.

Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth was at Adams Park to watch the fixture, as was new Lionesses head coach Phil Neville.
