16-year-old Kitty Jones has earned a move to Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Under 18s following a spectacular debut season with Wycombe Wanderers Ladies.
The striker made a speedy transition from under-16 football and impressed in matches and training alike, paving the way for her to make the switch to the Greater London Women’s Premier League with Spurs.
She said: “Wycombe took me on for my first time playing ladies football which, needless to say, was a big step up. I came in as a small, quiet and not so confident player, but it didn’t take long for me settle in because of the support and motivation of the coaches and players.
“Overall Wycombe Wanderers Ladies was a very positive experience; without out them I would never have had the confidence to try out for Spurs. Although I did not expect to get in, Wycombe have obviously have given me the experience, confidence and skill they were looking for,” she added.
Ladies boss Andy McIntosh said “Kitty has developed and improved her all-round technical and finishing abilities, and also displayed a mature attitude in training. We wish her the best of luck at her new club.”
