Wycombe Wanderers fans are invited to kick off the season with football and fast cars by following the Sky Bet League 1 opening day fixture against Blackpool with an evening at the Sound of Speed Festival at Wycombe Air Park.
Sponsored by the club’s long-standing partner Beechdean Dairy Ice Cream, the event is an exhibition of cars from down the ages – some on display and some in action along the runway – while there’s also a pedal car race for junior drivers, food and drink stalls and a Beechdean ice cream stand.
The festival starts at 2pm but supporters attending the match at Adams Park will be able to visit the festival from the second session onwards, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £20 for adults or £5 for juniors when booked in advance, rising to £25 for adults, when bought on the day, but the organisers – The Rotary Club of High Wycombe – have kindly offered a £5 discount to all Chairboys fans when they enter the promo code ‘WW1’ at the point of purchase online via the website. or a £10 discount on the day, on production of a WWFC season ticket or ticket from the Blackpool fixture.
