One of Wanderers' greatest players of all time will return to Adams Park as a VIP guest in the Honours Lounge for Saturday's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Blackpool.
Dave Carroll scored 100 times in 602 appearances for the Chairboys in a glorious 14-year spell, joining from Ruislip Manor in 1988 and helping the club achieve consecutive promotions in 1992/93 and 1993/94, two FA Trophy successes in 1991 and 1993, and the run to the semi-final of the FA Cup in 2001.
It was his performance in the 1994 play-off final at Wembley that cemented his place in Wycombe Wanderers folklore, scoring twice - including one sensational solo effort - as Martin O'Neill's side reached the third tier of English football, defeating a Preston North End outfit starring Gareth Ainsworth.
