Gareth Ainsworth feels tomorrow’s fixture at Luton Town has all the ingredients to be another exciting affair between the Hatters and the Chairboys.
Wanderers travel to Kenilworth Road roared on by a sold out away allocation of 772, and will be looking to continue their fine start to 2018 in Sky Bet League Two by attempting to take something away from the league leaders.
Over the last four years, this fixture has produced an average of just under three goals per game, and the boss is relishing the challenge Nathan Jones’ side will pose on Tuesday night.
Previewing the game, Ainsworth said: “We’ve had some highly-charged games against Luton in recent years, none more so than the one earlier this season with a last minute winner for Luton.
“This one won’t be easy believe me, they are top of the league for a reason, they have hit seven goals or more in three different league games this season and it we are expecting a very tough game.
“I just feel we are on a real good roll at the moment, we’ve got some good form and we’ve got some real belief in the squad and the firepower we have is definitely to be feared in League Two.
“I’m sure the fans are looking forward to this one and not having a game at the weekend just adds to the occasion.
“We are all ready for our next game, it has felt like a long wait but I am sure it will be a cracker.”
