Visitors to Adams Park are advised to take note of planned road closures around the Handy Cross roundabout which will be in place over three upcoming weekends.
Bucks County Council have issued the following message in relation to the roadworks at Handy Cross, which links the M40, Wycombe Road, A404, A4010 and Marlow Road:
“There is a planned closure of the roundabout and all exits for the below weekends.
Friday 23rd Feb – Monday 26th Feb
Friday 2nd March – Monday 5th March
The closure will be in force from 9pm Friday until 5am Monday.
Whilst neither the club grounds or training grounds are directly on the diversion routes, we expect to see an increase in traffic on all routes due to the local road users using familiar routes rather than the advertised diversions.
A particular area of concern is the junction of Marlow Road B482 and Clay Lane. We do envisage that this will be a popular route and delays are likely.
During these weekend closures the roundabout will be closed as well as the following approach roads:
- Wycombe Road between Ragmans Lane and the Handy Cross roundabout
- A4010 John Hall Way between Crest Road and the Handy Cross roundabout
- Marlow Road between Cressex Road roundabout and the Handy Cross roundabout
- A404 Marlow Hill between Waitrose/Park and Ride and the Handy Cross roundabout"
Wanderers play at home to Morecambe on Saturday 24th February, and therefore supporters are encouraged to check traffic updates prior to leaving home, and to allow for plenty of time to reach the stadium.
