Wycombe Wanderers announces Head of Commercial Activities Damian Irvine is departing Adams Park to pursue other opportunities.
Irvine, who took up his position in July 2015, officially leaves Adams Park this week and admitted that it was difficult to leave a club that he has grown so fond of during his tenure.
He told wwfc.com: “I would like to wish the Wycombe Wanderers Trust Members, Board, and everyone at the club all the very best for the future. It has been a wonderful and rewarding challenge here and the growth and results on and off the pitch is true testament to the incredible team work and talent of the front office team and Gareth Ainsworth and his football operations team.
“I’m extremely grateful to the Chairmen and Board for giving me the opportunity to play a part in the club’s success. I have enjoyed my time here immensely,” Irvine said.
“I’m certain the club has an exciting future given the wonderful support it enjoys from its amazing sponsors and supporters.”
Football Club and Trust Chairman Mr Trevor Stroud said of Irvine’s departure: “Wycombe Wanderers are thankful to Damian for his effort during his time here.
“Damian’s commercial experience has been extremely valuable and he has made a real contribution to delivering our business plan in recent years. His energy and enthusiasm has helped us attract new commercial partners and much needed resources during this period. He leaves with our thanks and very best wishes for the future.”
