Wycombe Wanderers vs Barnsley
Saturday 8th December 2018, k.o. 3pm
Referee: Antony Coggins
The Chairboys and the Tykes were two divisions apart last season; now they meet for the first time in 14 years separated by just five places in the League 1 table following a phenomenal run of form by Gareth Ainsworth's men.
Wanderers have climbed five places to 10th since ending October with a 3-2 loss at Walsall, going on to overcome Peterborough, Shrewsbury and Accrington - and draw with Sunderland - during an excellent November which saw Ainsworth awarded with a Manager of the Month nomination.
Barnsley have adapted quickly to life in League 1 after suffering relegation last year, and in Kieffer Moore and Cauley Woodrow they boast two of the division's most in-form strikers - a threat similar to that carried by Peterborough a month ago, which was so excellently thwarted by the Wycombe backline.
With a sixth successive home win in their sights, the Blues will hand a debut to Stephen Henderson in goal, while the Tykes are eager for a third away victory in four games to complement their unbeaten home record so far.

Stephen Henderson arrived on an emergency loan from Nottingham Forest this week and will play in goal for the Blues, while Matt Bloomfield and Adebayo Akinfenwa have resumed outdoor training and could be in contention.
Barnsley have been preparing for Wycombe's "very simple, not bad" approach according to boss Daniel Stendel, who is without the suspended Dimitri Cavare and the injured trio of Kenny Dougall, Ryan Hedges and Lloyd Isgrove.
Man in the middle
Antony Coggins officiated Wycombe's Carabao Cup tie with Forest Green in August, showing two yellow cards, and has dished out 75 bookings and three red cards in 19 games this season.
Carols at the Park
Wanderers are delighted to welcome a number of local organisations who will be performing Christmas carols from 1.30pm in the Printkick Fan Zone at Adams Park.
The club would like to thank chaplain Benedict Musola for pulling the event together, which involves contributions from the Pastures Church (Downley), Wycombe Community Gospel Choir, Wycombe Workplace Chaplaincy, St Andrews Bookshop, The Salvation Army, Love Wycombe and also Rachael Samuel – the wife of Chairboys star Alex – who will be singing at around 2pm.
Meanwhile, the Salvation Army will also be pitchside to perform a number of carols during the half-time interval.
There's some new items in the shop just in time for Christmas - have a look at what's on offer. Open from 10am.
Dominic Gape and Fred Onyedinma star on the cover while inside there's a recap of previous encounters with the Tykes, thoughts of Gareth Ainsworth, Matt Bloomfield, Alex Samuel, Scott Kashket, Nathan Tyson, Nick Tunney, Ian Baker and much more.
