Gareth Ainsworth is hoping to replicate his side’s performance at Plymouth Argyle as the Chairboys prepare to take on Bradford City at the Northern Commercials Stadium on Saturday.
Wanderers head to West Yorkshire in good spirits following a dominant display at Home Park on Tuesday night, which saw them come away with a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
On the back of their finest display of the campaign so far, Ainsworth’s team now have their eyes set on their first win since their return to Sky Bet League One.
Previewing the game, the boss said his team are looking to the test the Bantams pose and says the fixture has all the ingredients for a cracker.
“To see us go to Plymouth and dominate a large proportion of the game was a really positive thing to see," he said.
“Tuesday showed positive signs that we can compete at this level and I’m looking forward to the next game to see if we can try and replicate that.
“Valley Parade is a proper football stadium with passionate fans, and Bradford are looking to make their way back up the leagues which a club of their size should.
“They possess a lot of talent in their team and it will be tough, but if we can play like we did the other night then we shouldn’t fear anyone in this league.
“So with a big pitch, a good crowd and an historic stadium it has all the ingredients for a good game and hopefully we can come away with a result.”
