Gareth Ainsworth has sealed the return of another former loan star, capturing forward Fred Onyedinma on a deal from Millwall until January 1st.
Following in the footsteps of Ryan Allsop, Jason McCarthy, Curtis Thompson and Randell Williams, Onyedinma returns to Adams Park this summer having starred during a previous spell, scoring eight times in a prolific stint in the light and dark blue quarters in the second half of the 2014/15 season.
Still aged just 21, Onyedinma made his 150th appearance for Millwall in their Carabao Cup win against Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday, and now looks to further his development under the tutelage of Ainsworth and his staff.
“Fred was very young and raw back then and still has plenty to learn, but we feel he’s got all the attributes to keep improving his game and we hope to get the best out of him during this loan deal.
“We have a great relationship with Millwall at board and management level and we’re grateful to them for entrusting us with Fred once again. They’re knocking on the door of the Premier League and this is a chance for Fred to get more minutes under his belt which will give him a better chance of becoming a regular in the Millwall team in the years to come.”
