Gareth Ainsworth says his players will be giving everything they possibly can in these last four games to secure automatic promotion to Sky Bet League One.
The Chairboys travel to Sincil Bank on Tuesday night in a tough encounter against play-off chasing Lincoln City, and will be looking to solidify their hold on third place with other teams looking to pounce below.
The emotional rollercoaster of a run-in is well underway, but the Wycombe boss is confident that no matter what happens when the final whistle blows, no ounce of effort will be left on the pitch from Wanderers.
Previewing the game at Lincoln, Ainsworth said: “You can’t rest now until that last ball has been kicked and then it will be impossible for anyone to do anything.
“There is going to be so many twists and turns but I don’t want us to be involved in them, I want us to keep to churning these results out, keeping adding to our points total.
“We have to make sure we are ready on Tuesday night; be fit, well-rested and recovered to go again in front of sell-out crowd at Sincil Bank at my ex-club, and what a game that promises to be.
“To come away from Lincoln with a result would be a fantastic achievement and would aid us in what we want to do which is get promoted.
“This group of players we’ve got here will give you everything and as long as they continue to do that between now and the end of the season I cannot complain, and hopefully it will be enough to get us over the line.”
