The chairman of the League Managers Association, Howard Wilkinson, says Gareth Ainsworth can be "extremely proud" of his progress during his five years in charge at Adams Park.
Former top-flight boss Wilkinson passed on his congratulations to the Wycombe manager on the fifth anniversary of Ainsworth taking on the role, while LMA chief executive Richard Bevan has also written a personal letter to Ainsworth.
Wilkinson said: "Gareth and the board can be extremely proud of their achievements in the last five years. The game can be and normally is a cruel master, but what Gareth has shown is that talent, no matter how young, plus real support from above is a recipe for success if everyone sticks to the plan.
"To be awarded Manager of the Year by your peers is the highest award you can earn and Gareth has already got that one in the locker. Good luck Gareth. Here’s to the next five years.”
