Gareth: "We need to be right back on it again"

Blues boss previews Barnet.

29 September 2017

Gareth Ainsworth is hoping to follow up the dramatic win against Crewe with another three points on home turf against Barnet this weekend.

The Chairboys head into the match on the back of two consecutive victories against Colchester United and Alex respectively.

After the delight of Tuesday night, all minds are now fully focused on the visit of the Bees, and Ainsworth says his team will have to be on it from minute one to get the result they want from this one.

"We were the better side by far on Tuesday and we managed to get the win, and what a dramatic win it was," he said.

"For Nathan Tyson to get the winner, a player who's affinity with the club and the fans goes back years, was fantastic and it was a wonder that the net didn't come off.

"To do that right in front of the terrace, that is what you come to football for and that feeling you get from it, you can not bottle, it is something that is incomparable.

"It was a special night for us, and a special week but I won't get too high, I never do, and I won't get too low when we lose, so it has been back to work these last couple of days.

"From Thursday morning we get the squad reassessed and see what we have got because we have got a tough team in Barnet coming down on Saturday.

"They have already beaten some big teams this season and Rossi Eames is a young manager who has got his way of doing things, so we need to be right back on it again."
