Club investigating anti-social behaviour after Colchester game

Witnesses encouraged to contact the club.

25 September 2017

Wycombe Wanderers and Thames Valley Police are working closely to identify and ensure appropriate action is taken against those supporters who participated in anti-social behaviour after Saturday’s fixture at Colchester United.

An investigation is underway after a pyrotechnic device was discharged in the away end after the final whistle, and a number of fans acted in an inappropriate manner in the vicinity of the stadium.

The club have been advised that this behaviour is likely to lead to a compulsory police presence when the two sides meet at Adams Park in January, coming at a cost of several thousand pounds to Wycombe Wanderers.

Any witnesses are encouraged to come forward with information by contacting stadium manager Gordon Reilly on 01494 455747 or gordon.reilly@wwfc.com. Complete discretion and confidentiality will be ensured.
