Swindon Town vs Wycombe Wanderers
Tuesday 31st October 2017, k.o. 7.45pm
The County Ground
Referee: Kevin Johnson

The first of two back-to-back cup games comes around on Tuesday night as Wanderers return to Wiltshire just 10 days since their Sky Bet League Two encounter with the Robins.

Swindon were victorious that day, ending Wycombe’s eight-month unbeaten run away from home, but tonight they’ll be battling to remain in with a chance of qualifying from the Checkatrade Trophy with the losing side likely to be eliminated.

Both clubs lost in the opening round of fixtures, with Gareth Ainsworth’s men succumbing to Bristol Rovers while Swindon went down to West Ham U21s.

In the event of a draw after 90 minutes, there’ll be a penalty shootout to determine which team earns a bonus point.

Team news
Both managers are expected to make changes to their sides, with Gareth Ainsworth stating that he’ll name himself on the bench due to a mounting injury list at Adams Park.

Robins boss David Flitcroft told his local media that he could had chances to younger members of his squad.

Head-to-head
The two clubs have met three times in previous guises of this competition; the most recent saw Town come back from a one-goal deficit to snatch a 2-1 win in November 2013.

Prior to that, Wycombe had won 1-0 thanks to an Ian Stonebridge stunner in 2006, and Swindon recorded a 2-1 victory in January 2001.

Man in the middle
Kevin Johnson has shown 49 yellow and six red cards in his 14 games in charge so far this season.

He was last involved in a Wycombe fixture last December – the 1-0 win at Cheltenham.

Facilities for away fans
Away fans are located in the Arkells Stand at one side of the pitch. The away section can hold up to 1,200 fans. This is an older stand with facilities to match, but at least you are under cover. If you are at the back of this stand there is one supporting pillar which may impair your view of the goal otherwise the view is fine. There is a small kiosk at the back of stand serving pies etc.
