Mark Burrell pledges support to Wycombe Wanderers Ladies come on board as sponsor.

26 October 2017

Wycombe Wanderers are excited to announce the support of business consultancy as a partner of Wycombe Wanderers Ladies.

Mark Burrell, founder of, as well as both a club and Trust director of Wycombe Wanderers, said: “ have been rear of shirt sponsors, perimeter board advertisers at the stadium and supported Wycombe Wanderers FC for several years.

“We are delighted to be part of a further period of development with this support of Wycombe Wanderers Ladies team as they are more closely integrated as part of the club. They are on a path to transform themselves, especially with some recent performances - notably the fantastic recent 4-1 win in the Berks and Berks & Bucks Cup over MK City, who are a league above.

“When I joined the football club board in June 2015, working, as now, on a purely voluntary basis, it was to create a sustainable football club and group of companies, and build a legacy.  This new partnership with the Ladies team is the next step in that journey.”

Mark explained about his role as a director at the club.

“It’s been challenging but hugely rewarding to be the Group Finance Director across the finances of all three companies - the Trust, football club and Frank Adams Legacy Ltd, working with other highly capable and experienced volunteers on the various boards.

“Each director’s role is based on their skills and experience; mine is bringing business transformation and corporate/strategic finance expertise.  Financially, we are more in control of our day to day and future finances than at any time over the past five years.  We know what we need, have a challenging budget, and have the plans to deliver that budget.

“We continue to make real progress both financially and with our systems and processes; we have made significant reductions in debts in the Group, we have formalised and extended all outstanding external debt arrangements, and we have agreed repayment plans with all parties as we continue to meet our financial promises. We are also clear what the future means for us, financially.

“Like our competitors, we rely on ‘football fortune’ and this season is already very exciting with some fantastic performances on the pitch by the team under Gareth. Off the pitch, with attendances growing, revenues up on a like-for-like basis and costs being continually monitored, this all builds towards creating a sustainable football club for future generations. Myself and are proud to be part of this journey.”
