Gareth Ainsworth has confirmed that Nathan Tyson suffered damage to his left knee ligaments during Saturday’s 3-1 win at Cambridge.
The striker was withdrawn on a stretcher after sustaining the injury midway through the first half and soon underwent scans at BMI The Chiltern Hospital.
Initial scans have shown some ligament tears although the major cruciate ligament has not been damaged.
“However, there is still damage to the ligament and although it’s hard to put a timescale on his return at this stage, we’re looking at months rather than weeks.”
