Wycombe Wanderers captain Adam El-Abd was on hand to help reward staff at BMI The Chiltern and Shelburne Hospital for their long service, at a special event at Adams Park on Friday lunchtime.
More than 140 combined years of service to the private hospital were recognised at the Chairboys’ home ground, continuing a long-standing tradition of presenting loyal staff with pin badges to thank them for their dedication to their patients, their roles and to BMI Healthcare.
Adam El-Abd, who underwent a medical examination at BMI The Chiltern Hospital in July prior to signing for the club, said: “BMI Healthcare have been fantastic partners of the club for some time now and it was great to help them mark some very special milestones for a number of their staff.
“As footballers we give everything to the club we represent, and it was fantastic to meet the hospital staff who carry the same values and have made an excellent contribution over a long period of time.”
Fraser Dawson, Executive Director of BMI The Chiltern and Shelburne Hospitals said: “BMI Healthcare have been awarding long service pin awards since 1994, across its hospitals nationwide, and it’s always an excellent occasion for us to say thank you, and for the staff to be recognised in this way.
“Holding the event in our executive box at Adams Park adds extra prestige to the occasion and we’re grateful to Adam for playing his part by coming along and presenting the awards.”
