Gareth Ainsworth has urged that his squad will have to be on their mettle at the Globe Arena, as the Chairboys prepare to take on Morecambe this weekend.
Wanderers travel to the North West in 7th position in the League Two standings, and will look to build on a professional Emirates FA Cup first round display at Solihull in their last outing.
The boss is pleased with the football his side have displayed so far this campaign, but warns his side will have to be ready for another tough battle against the Shrimps – pointing to previous years where Jim Bentley’s team have put a dent in Wycombe’s end of season aspirations.
Previewing Saturday’s game, Gareth said: “I’m pleased with the way we are playing at the moment, and I firmly believe we have got a recipe for success.
“Morecambe have played a part in our end of season pushes in recent years, and we need to go there and do a professional job because it is always tough against Jim Bentley’s sides.
“They are always organised, play good football with a pantomime villain in Kevin Ellison up top - and he has proved to be a thorn in our side over the years.
“We’ve preparing ourselves this week to make sure we are ready for what Morecambe will throw at us to try and get a positive result.”
