Bean: "It's a vital game and we really need the fans behind us."

4 May 2017

Midfield rock Marcus Bean says all focus must be on getting a crucial three points vs play-off rivals Cambridge this Saturday.

Like our opponents, the Chairboys go into the final league game of the season one point off the play-offs and know that only a win will do with favours elsewhere to reach the top seven.

Although the fate of the Chairboys ultimately lies away from Adams Park, Bean says the players must fully concentrate on getting the result they need to stay in the mix, and is calling for a carnival atmosphere from the home support to help the team achieve that.

"All we can do is take care of our own business and that is to beat Cambridge," he said.

"It's going to be a tough game, but playing a team above us is great because a win will take them out of the equation.

"We're going to have to be on our metal because they played really well against us at their place, and although we won the game they were the better side for long periods.

"We're going to need everyone on Saturday, and I thought the away support (vs Morecambe) was excellent and the away stand was rocking.

"We're going to need every single person down at Adams Park on Saturday because it's a vital game and we really need the fans behind us."
