Recommended road directions
Take the M40 towards London, then the northbound M25. At junction 27 follow signs to ‘London (NE), M11’ onto the M11 southbound. After 7.1 miles, where the road divides, bear right (signed A406 N. Circ. Rd West) onto the North Circular Road. Keep in left hand lanes and take first exit after 0.6 miles (signed Walthamstow and City A104). At the roundabout turn left into Woodford New Road A104. At next roundabout (Whipps Cross) after 1.2 miles, take the second exit (signed A104 Bakers Arms, Leyton) and follow road round to left into Lea Bridge Road. Half a mile further on, turn left into Leyton Green Road (signposted to Leyton and Stratford). Filter left after 0.3 miles and turn left at T-junction into Leyton High Road. After 1.2 miles (you should be able to see the floodlights), the ground is down the side streets on the right.
Mileage from High Wycombe = 62
Recommended area for car parking
Due to being in a highly residential area, there is limited parking in the immediate area. There is limited on-street parking in the streets around the ground though many of the roads are parking for permit holders only. Please take care when parking to avoid penalty fines.
Travelling by coach?
OWWSA will be running a coach that will leave Adams Park at 12:00. Travel prices are £14 for adults, £13 for seniors, and £12 for juniors. The price for non-members is £18 (no refund if game is cancelled). If you wish to book by phone (Rena 01494 520179, Graham 07876 267301) or by e-mail (email@example.com) you need to do so by Thursday, March 30th at 17:00.
Using the train?
This is probably the best option for this trip. Take Chiltern Trains into Marylebone and then take the Bakerloo Line southbound to Oxford Circus. Change here on to the Central Line and travel east to Leyton. Exit the station and turn right down Leyton High Road. Cross over the road and continue down it. You will come to Coronation Gardens on your left and the floodlights of the ground can be clearly seen behind them. Take the next left past the gardens into Buckingham Road for the ground. An off peak travel card will cost you £12.30.
Facilities for away fans
The current ground capacity is 9,271 (all seated). The stadium, which many fans still refer to as its original name of Brisbane Road has seen a lot of re-development in recent years, with the construction of three new stands. Currently away supporters are housed in one side (towards the South End) of the Main Stand, where there are a couple of supporting pillars that may impede your view. This stand is all seated. Around 1,000 fans can be accommodated in this area. The general enquiries number at the stadium is 0871 310 1883.
Facilities around the ground
There is a supporters club (located in the West Stand) that admits visiting fans for a nominal fee. This is not very large and does fill up quickly. The nearest pub to the ground is the ‘Coach and Horses’. To get there turn right outside Leyton station and walk for about half-a-mile The hostelry is on the left, within sight of the floodlights. Also coming recommended is the Birkbeck Tavern in Langthorne Road behind the tube station. This pub is also listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and offers a number of rotating guest beers. Also, not far from the tube station along the High Road (on the left before the KFC) is the Leyton Technical pub, which is frequented by away fans. This small pub stocks a number of real ales and also serves food.
