Legends unite for Ollie's cancer fight

23 March 2017

A team of Wycombe Wanderers Legends will pull their boots back on to help raise vital funds for youngster Ollie Gardiner in his fight against cancer.

Ollie, from Aston Clinton in Buckinghamshire, requires life-saving treatment after being diagnosed with brain and spine cancer in May 2015, costing a total of £440,000.

His family are just £35,000 short of their target and have enrolled the help of Wycombe Wanderers Legend, managed by former striker Keith Scott, who will be taking on Aylesbury United Legends in a fundraising match on Sunday 21st May.

The game will be played at Thame United FC, Meadow View Park, Thame, OX9 3RN with a 12pm kick-off. Gates open at 11am and tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.

There’ll be a bouncy castle, face painting, cake sale and more activities for all the family. Further details regarding which players will be representing the Chairboys will be announced in due course.

Earlier this year, the club donated the use of an executive box at a game for a fundraising raffle for Ollie’s Fund. For more information about the fundraising campaign for Ollie, visit
