Wycombe Wanderers are delighted to welcome Utilita Energy as their new official away shirt sponsor and official energy supplier.
Britain’s leading provider of smart Pay-As-You-Go energy, Utilita have added the Adams Park club to their growing list of partners within football, having developed successful relationships with a number of other clubs including Derby County, Leeds United and Crystal Palace previously.
In April, Utilita welcomed its 500,000th domestic customer – up from just 200,000 as recently as July 2015 - and also recently launched into the Commercial Energy sector, to give micro-businesses and SMES a better, fairer deal.
In the lucrative new sponsorship deal, the Utilita logo will be printed across the front of Wanderers’ new away kit, which is to be launched later this month, while the club will also receive £25 for its community projects for every supporter who switches to Utilita.
Damian Irvine, Head of Commercial Activities at Wycombe Wanderers, said: “Utilita are a rapidly-growing company who are making fantastic progress in the energy sector. We’re thrilled to be in partnership with Utilita, who share common strong values and strength of character with our other like-minded sponsors and the football club as a whole.
“It’s been a disciplined and committed effort by all involved at Wycombe Wanderers to enter this season in such a positive off-field position. Being at a stage where we have two separate companies with a national footprint on the front of home and front of away shirt is a fair reflection of the club’s reach and brand qualities. It’s a first for Wycombe and certainly not something many EFL clubs can lay claim to.
“Not only are Utilita committing to the front of away shirt sponsorship but they’re also offering this fantastic cashback scheme for the club and will be working closely with us to activate a number of exciting initiatives over the coming weeks and months which will be of great interest to our supporters and the High Wycombe business community.
“The new away kit – and goalkeeper kits, where the Utilita logo will also feature on the away varieties – are hotly-awaited by supporters and we’re looking forward to sharing them with the world.”
Jem Maidment, Head of Marketing & Communications at Utilita, said: “Wycombe Wanderers have had a fantastic few years in the limelight, from Wembley to Villa Park to White Hart Lane. We want to work with progressive and innovative clubs and Wycombe definitely fit the bill.
“We’ve been lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the new kits for the 2017/18 season and are extremely proud to see our logo printed across the front, and we look forward to developing our relationship with the club and its fans.
“Our Pay-As-You-Go smart meters are proving to be increasingly popular across the country and I hope Wycombe supporters can consider making the switch to Utilita as their new energy supplier while helping their club at the same time.”
Wycombe fans can sign up online and type in the promo code ‘CHAIRBOYS’ when switching – or call 0345 206 8777 and quote ‘’CHAIRBOYS’.
Wycombe’s home kit, sponsored by Beechdean Dairy Ice Cream, will remain the same as in the 2016/17 season, although the club crest will now be embroidered rather than printed. The white change kit from last season will now become the club’s third strip, sponsored also by Utilita.
