Report: Exeter 4-2 Wycombe

Wanderers lost in the league for the first time since October, going down 4-2 to Exeter City at St James Park.

David Wheeler put the in-form Grecians in front as the Chairboys struggled to find their way having made seven changes from the side that battled so well at Tottenham in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Garry Thompson fired home an equaliser from close range from a Sam Saunders corner but the damage was done inside three second-half minutes, with Troy Brown and Joel Grant both converting similar chances from low crosses from the right.

Debutant Alex Jakubiak gave Wycombe hope with a 90th minute strike from an assist by emergency striker Aaron Pierre, but the killer blow came in stoppage time when Ollie Watkins robbed Max Muller before finishing coolly to secure City's ninth win in eleven games.
