Baz's boys pay tribute

Matt, Ryan, Jamal and Scott pass on their best wishes.

29 December 2017

A quartet of Barry Richardson's goalkeeping proteges have passed on their best wishes to the Chairboys coach, who leaves Adams Park today.

Matt Ingram, Wycombe keeper, 2012-2016:
“While I was at Wycombe I was fortunate enough to work with Baz. He has helped me massively in my career to get to where I am now and I’m sure most other goalkeepers will say the same thing. Not only is he a fantastic goalkeeping coach but he is also a really good friend who I know I can pick up the phone to any time. He has been a fantastic asset to WWFC and I wish him well in whatever he does next. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me!”

Ryan Allsop, Wycombe loanee, 2016:
“I just want to say a massive thank you to Baz on a personal note for helping me in my time at the club and afterwards as a friend. The hard work and effort you put in at the club will be missed and I would like to wish you the best of luck in the next chapter of your career.”

Jamal Blackman, Wycombe loanee, 2016-17:
“Baz was a great coach and really helped me to settle in when I was at Wycombe, someone I could always talk to and get advice from. He helped my career and I can still turn to him when I’m in doubt or need someone who understands what I’m going through. I wish him the best wherever he goes – he’s done great things for the club and will always put 100% into everything he does.”

Scott Brown, Wycombe keeper, 2016-present:
“Baz has been brilliant for me. Sometimes at a club you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone and I think that will be the case here with Baz. Everyone really appreciates what he does, and he does so much behind the scenes that people don’t see. Personally for me, he’s a fantastic keeper coach and a really good friend who’s been fantastic for me throughout my career. I know he’s always on the end of the phone. He cares, he likes to know what’s going on in your personal life and if there’s anything he can help with.”
