Will De Havilland began his one-month loan spell at Aldershot Town with a clean sheet and a 2-0 victory at FC Halifax Town on day one of the National League season.
After weathering some early pressure from the newly promoted hosts, Shots took control during the second half and secured the win after goals from Shamir Fenelon and James Rowe.
De Havilland, after playing the full 90 minutes for Gary Waddock's men, was voted Man of the Match by the Aldershot fans on a poll on the club's official twitter account after the match.
The defender made the switch shortly before the start of the season to benefit from first-team football with Gary Waddock’s Shots, with his loan expiring on 28th August, though he will be eligible to play in Aldershot's fixture that day.
The 22-year-old made 23 appearances in his debut season for the Chairboys after joining last summer.
