Wycombe Wanderers are delighted to announce that midfielder and loyal servant Matt Bloomfield has extended his stay at the club until the summer of 2018.
Bloomfield announced the news exclusively to the guests of the Player Awards Dinner at Adams Park on Sunday night; on a night when he was also presented a commemorative decanter from Gareth Ainsworth and the Ex-Players Association in recognition of him becoming the club's all-time leading English Football League appearance maker.
This season is club captain Bloomfield's 13th at the club and has earned himself the title of 'Mr Wycombe' by the fans after playing such a key role in many of the club's successes over the years; including two promotions, a run to the EFL Cup semi-final (then known as the Carling Cup) in 2007, a great escape in 2014 and the road to Wembley in 2015.
Bloomfield was also honoured with a testimonial vs Chelsea in 2014 after his tenth season with the club, and the 33-year old has equalled his best ever scoring record this season with five goals so far.
All at Wycombe Wanderers are thrilled to secure a player of Matt's ability until the summer 2018.
