Sido and Anthony help students celebrate academic success

19 October 2016

Sido Jombati and Anthony Stewart were special guests at a celebration evening for young local students at Adams Park last week.

Thursday 13th October saw the completion of a six-week programme of study support at the Buckinghamshire Learning Trust's Matrix Centre at the stadium. Beechview Academy, Oakridge School, King’s Wood School, Widmer End Combined School and Foxes Piece School have enjoyed a stimulating package of learning opportunities whilst based at Adams Park.

Students from Year 6 attended the Matrix Centre after-school classes to improve their literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.  By the end of the programme the students had gained so much confidence that they presented their work publicly at the celebration of success evening to an audience of over 200 people.
Sido and Anthony were joined by club mascot Bodger at the awards evening (sponsored by the High Wycombe Lions) to celebrate student achievement and to hand out certificates and prizes to the 70 young people who had completed the course.

The evening was a great success and all the students, their parents and other guests had a brilliant time competing in a variety of ‘Matrix’ competitions including paper tower building and speed stacking.
