Q. What is the biggest achievement in your career so far?
A. I’d say either playing at Wembley, or being named in the PFA League Two of the Year last season. They both meant a lot to me.
Q. If you didn’t play football, what would your dream job be?
A. I’d be an athlete. I was in the top 10 in the country at 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres when I was 15-16. Otherwise I’d have quite liked to be a racing driver and be the next Lewis Hamilton.
Q. If you had to be stuck in a room with another Wycombe player, who would you most and least like it to be?
A. Everyone says they wouldn’t like to get stuck with Sido cos he loves to argue, so I’m going to be different and say Luke. He talks a lot and is always enthusiastic about everything! There’s a few I wouldn’t mind getting stuck with – I’ll say Anthony, Bayo and Westy.
Q. How many times have you been sent off?
A. Only once! I know everyone thinks I can come across as aggressive but I’ve only ever been sent off once, and that was for two yellow cards at AFC Wimbledon a couple of seasons ago. Even at school and youth level I never got a red card.
Q. What is your favourite ground to play at?
A. It has to be Wembley – that’s the best ground I’ve played at. I’d love to play at Old Trafford one day.
Q. Which other defenders do you admire?
A. There’s a few like Sol Campbell, Rio Ferdinand, Sergio Ramos, Nemanja Vidic, Ledley King and especially Vincent Kompany – he’s my guy. All these players are aggressive and win everything they go in for. I try to be at least half as good as any of them.
Q. If you could play for any team in the world, who would it be?
A. I’d have to say Real Madrid. They’re the biggest club in history, they always compete at the top level and they’re the most successful team I’ve ever known.
Q. How do you defend against Adebayo Akinfenwa?
A. It’s muscle for muscle so we cancel each other out. I just try to ease him off the ball. The guy bench presses 100kg in the gym and that’s just for his warm-up, but I can’t say he’s stronger than me and I don’t let him throw me around!
Q. Which outfield Wycombe player would make the best keeper?
A. Probably Luke – he’s really hyperactive and he’s always throwing himself all over the place.
Q. Which position would you most like to play if you weren’t a defender?
A. Probably a striker. It’d be good to use my physicality to rough up a few defenders and score some goals!
Q. Who’s the best player you’ve played against?
A. There’s two probably, both from when I was playing youth football. I played against Saido Berahino at West Brom and his movement was so good, I had to kick him in the end because I was getting annoyed! And also Benik Afobe at Arsenal was really good.
