Ladies to host open day for girls football programme

14 March 2016

Wycombe Wanderers Ladies are looking to expand their setup to include youth levels in association with Gerrards Cross & Fulmer Football Club.

The ladies are enjoying a successful season in the Southern Region Women's First Division after winning promotion last year, but currently operate without a reserve or youth structure following a change in management several years ago.

Current boss Andrew Morten, who previously ran a girls team within the Wycombe Wanderers Ladies setup, also co-founded the Gerrards Cross & Fulmer club and has been appointed as an ambassador to help develop girls football, giving young women the chance to progress through the age ranges and reach the senior team.

A number of current Wycombe Wanderers Ladies will also be actively involved in coaching the girls teams.

There will be an open day to invite girls up to the age of 16 to learn more about the new setup and register their interest for next season. This will be held at King George's Playing Fields on Fulmer Common Road (SL3 6JN) or Saturday 16th April from 2pm to 4pm.
