Sales Day at Adams Park raises thousands thanks to team effort

Thousands of pounds of new business was generated for the club as it hosted the first of a series of Sales Days at Adams Park.

A team combining volunteers from the club and Trust boards and full-time staff from various departments worked in unison to approach hundreds of local businesses with targeted offers relating to advertising, sponsorship opportunities and matchday hospitality.

There was plenty of uptake, with LED screen advertising, matchday programme adverts and stadium signage proving particularly popular with companies from various different industries.

Meanwhile, a second team jumped on the phones to encourage more and more supporters to purchase season tickets for the campaign ahead, while the huge sale in the club shop attracted countless visitors throughout the day, with new signing Dayle Southwell on hand to meet fans at lunchtime.

A second Sales Day is planned for the end of July and the club invites volunteers to take part and lend their time to helping to generate more revenue.
