All you need to know ahead of the pre-season friendly against QPR on Friday night (k.o. 7.45pm).Wycombe Wanderers vs Queens Park Rangers
Friday 22nd July 2016, k.o. 7.45pm
Adams Park, HP12 4HJ
Referee: Mr Charles Breakspear
It's the first outing of the re-styled light and dark blue quarters... and it's shaping up to be a great occasion to kick off a new era in the new kit under the lights.
Championship side Queens Park Rangers are in town for a special reunion for manager Gareth Ainsworth and Chairboys stars Marcus Bean and Michael Harriman, as well as Hoops stopper Matt Ingram who returns to HP12 for the first time as an opposition player since departing for Loftus Road in January.
Early pre-season signs have been encouraging, with the Wanderers holding Le Havre and Brentford to 1-1 draws in their two outings so far, with a high-tempo approach and eye-catching football suggesting that Ainsworth's new signings have adapted well to their new surroundings.
Undoubtedly the highest-profile arrival, Adebayo Akinfenwa will make his Adams Park bow after missing the clash with the Bees, although Wycombe eyes will also be on fellow striker Dayle Southwell who impressed in his goalscoring display on Tuesday.
There could be more trialists on show against the Rs, managed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink whose last visit to Adams Park happened to be his first game in charge of Burton Albion in November 2014, when his new side won 3-1 in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Wanderers fans will be accommodated in the Beechdean Stand, Origin Family Stand and the terrace for this fixture - please note the Frank Adams Stand will not be open unless there is sufficient demand for tickets.
QPR have been given an initial allocation of 1,800 tickets in the Panache Stand behind one goal (all seated, under cover with unrestricted views).
Tickets for all fans will be available on the gate at no extra charge.
Prices are as follows:
Young Adults and Seniors: £10
Under 18s: £5
