The Big Kit Launch Preview - 10/07

7 July 2016

Wanderers fans will have the first chance to get their hands on the brand-new O’Neills kits at the club’s season launch event at Adams Park on Sunday.

From 1.30pm the refurbished club shop will open its doors for supporters to browse and purchase the new range of kits, trainingwear, leisurewear and accessories, with the whole Wanderers squad and management on hand to meet guests, sign autographs and pose for photos.

There’s a whole host of activities in the car park, including stalls from Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust, Rush UK trampoline park, Cordwallis Group, Thames Valley Police, Wycombe Leisure Centre, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Wycombe Sound and the One Can Hope Trust.

Meanwhile fans will be able to bag a bargain in a jumble sale of old shop stock in the marquee, run by volunteers from the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association, and there’s the opportunity to register your interest in signing up to Wycombe Wanderers Trust or the club’s PALS volunteer workforce.

Season ticket holders for the 2016/17 campaign can collect their season ticket cards from the desk at main reception from 1.30pm; to speed up this process, fans are asked where possible to bring their old season ticket card from the 2015/16 term.

And visitors hoping to keep an eye on the British Grand Prix and Wimbledon final on TV can do so in the Vere Suite, with both events being shown live on the screens around the bar.

At 3pm, fans will be ushered through to the Vere Suite to watch a catwalk of the new kits, providing the opportunity to see the strips being modelled in the flesh by members of the Chairboys squad.

The season launch event is preceded by the start and finish of the Grant & Stone Wycombe Half Marathon, which begins at 9.30am from the car park and concludes in front of the Panache Stand inside the stadium bowl. The activities listed above will also be available for those spectators attending in the morning.

Residents of High Wycombe should look out for the first glimpse of the new kit being worn in person by Benjamin Brocklesby, the sales & marketing director of the club’s rear of shirt sponsor Origin Global Ltd, who is taking part in the race wearing the Chairboys’ full home strip.

Here’s your itinerary for the day. Remember this is open to all at no charge.

8am – gates open for half-marathon runners and spectators
9.30am – half-marathon begins
1.30pm – WWFC season launch event begins
3pm – catwalk in the Vere Suite
3.30pm – players depart for France for pre-season trip

The lower tier of the car park will be closed to vehicles throughout the day; therefore all vehicles will be parked on the upper tier at no charge.

Food & drink
The Vere Suite will be open from 8am serving bacon rolls and tea and coffee until noon, and chilli and rice thereafter. The bar will also be open, serving soft drinks only until noon and alcohol thereafter.

Club shop
The club shop is expected to be extremely busy from 1.30pm and fans may be asked to queue outside. Access can be gained via the main club shop entrance, while the exit will be through the doors to main reception.

Scores and Honours closed
Please note that both the Scores bar and Honours Lounge will be closed to the public.

There is no cashpoint at Adams Park so although the shop and bar can take card payments, fans are advised to bring cash with them. The closest cashpoint is at the Tesco by the Hourglass pub.
