The wait is over – the kits to be worn by Wycombe Wanderers for the 2016/17 Sky Bet League Two season have now been revealed!Supplied by Irish Sportswear manufacturer O’Neills, the four kits for outfield players and goalkeepers are available to purchase from today at Adams Park as the club hosts a season launch event with the full squad and supporters in attendance from 1.30pm.
It’ll be the first opportunity to see the new designs of the iconic sky and navy quarters and the all-white change strip up close, as well as the white/gold and lime/pink goalkeeper jerseys.
Wanderers’ new home kit marks a return to a more traditional shade of light blue, synonymous with some of the club’s proudest achievements throughout its history, while it also features a horizontal pinstripe through the navy quarters and smart detailing on the sleeves.
The change strip is a stylish all-white strip with a faded vertical pinstripe which reads ‘WWFC’, while all four strips – plus all training wear – carries a watermark bearing the figures ‘1887’ – the year of the club’s foundation.
All replica and match kits are made with Koolite moisture management fabric, keeping players and fans alike cool during those tense match moments. For the first time supporters now have the option of purchasing an exact match replica of the shirts as worn by the team on a matchday – known as ‘elite’ - which is produced in a fabric with greater stretch properties and utilising a tighter fitting pattern to ‘hug’ the body as required by the players.
Fans can get their hands on the new kits – plus a brand new range of leisurewear, training wear and accessories – at Adams Park, which is open from 9am to 5.30pm on weekdays after today’s event. The launch of the new online shop will be announced in due course.
And there’s more good news for supporters who can now once again have their shirt printed in-store with their chosen name and number, using the same style lettering as the professionals!
Gareth Ainsworth’s men will wear their all-white change strip for the first time in their pre-season friendly against French side Le Havre in Sarzeau on Tuesday night, as well as the match against Brentford at Adams Park on Tuesday 19th July, before stepping out in the new light and dark blue quartered strip for the visit of Queens Park Rangers on Friday 22nd July.
