Blues take part in Bastille Day celebrations

14 July 2016

The Wanderers squad stepped into the Bastille Day celebrations in Coutances on Thursday morning as part of their pre-season training camp in France.

The French National Day attracted thousands of locals onto the streets and the presence of the Chairboys added to the excitement, with Paul Hayes and Anthony Stewart accepting an invitation to take part in the parade.

There was also a meeting with the town mayor and local dignitaries, along with interviews given to the local newspapers about their stay in France, which included Tuesday night's pre-season friendly draw with Le Havre.

Wycombe return to England on Friday evening ahead of the two pre-season friendlies at Adams Park next week, taking on Brentford on Tuesday and Queens Park Rangers on Friday.
