Beechdean Dairy Ice Cream enter third year as major sponsor

7 July 2016

Wycombe Wanderers will continue to proudly display Beechdean Dairy Ice Cream on the front of their new kits for the 2016/17 season.

A long-time sponsor of the Chairboys, Buckinghamshire-based Beechdean Dairies Limited is owned by club chairman Andrew Howard and his wife Susie. This coming season will see Beechdean enter a third year as the major sponsor having originally signed up in 2014.

Beechdean have sponsored the main stand at the stadium for four years and have had an executive box at Adams Park since 2009 – when Howard’s affiliation with the club began. Its commitment to the club is known having previously sponsored the team’s playing shorts prior to becoming the main shirt sponsor.

The club’s Head of Commercial Activities, Damian Irvine, said: “Andrew and Susie have been fantastic supporters of the club in recent years, long before Andrew came on board as chairman, and for us to have a partnership of this nature relates perfectly to our commercial values in terms of working with a successful local brand who are growing and expanding within the UK and overseas.

“We undertook an extensive market test and explored a number of different opportunities, attracting new interest in being our major sponsor. Not only have Beechdean demonstrated their commitment to the club in financial terms, but their family values fit perfectly with our own ethos here at the club. These shared values made them a logical choice as a sponsor and a straightforward decision. We look forward to continuing our relationship with them, and are delighted to have their name emblazoned across the front of the new kits next season.”

John Uphill, Commercial Director of Beechdean, said: “It’s a club that we as a company have taken to our hearts since becoming box holders in 2009 and have enjoyed developing our partnership year on year.

“In our two seasons as front of shirt sponsor, we’ve been privileged to watch the team play at Wembley in a play-off final, and at Villa Park in an FA Cup tie. We have taken immense pride in seeing the Beechdean brand associated with such prestigious times in the club’s history. The continuation of our partnership comes at a perfect time for us where we are thrilled to showcase our new logo.”

The new kits – featuring the Beechdean logo across the front - will be revealed on Sunday 10th July and will be available to purchase at a special season launch event at Adams Park from 1.30pm. The event is open to all at no charge, and fans will have the chance to meet the Wanderers players and management for photos and autographs.
