Wanderers legend Keith Ryan is jumping in the saddle to represent the club on the ride to Amsterdam for Prostate Cancer UK this summer. The former club captain, who scored 50 goals in 517 games across a 15-year spell at Adams Park, has signed up to represent the Chairboys on the 'Football to Amsterdam' challenge, raising funds for the Football League’s Official Charity Partner, Prostate Cancer UK.
Rhino will be joined by supporter and Trust director David Roberton on the two-day adventure, which starts at the Olympic Stadium on 3rd June and ends in the Dutch capital 145 miles later, with a ferry crossing at Harwich in the middle.
To help reach and surpass their fundraising targets, Rhino and David are holding a special event at Adams Park on Saturday 5th March, which includes a hot buffet, raffle and disco for just £30 per person or £250 for a table of 10. Fellow ex-Chairboys Steve Guppy, Matt Crossley and Glyn Creaser have already confirmed their attendance at the night, with more big names to follow.
Tickets can be purchased from Adams Park or online via this link.
There's still time to book your place on the 'Football to Amsterdam' challenge - registration costs £149 per person and riders will pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship to help fight back against a disease that affects one in eight men in the UK.
