Gareth Ainsworth has made his first deadline day move with the capture of exciting young attacker Scott Kashket. The 20-year-old arrives following his release from Leyton Orient, signing a contract until 31st December to ease the injury crisis at Adams Park with seven of the squad currently sidelined.
Ainsworth said: “Scott has been on our radar for a while and now is the ideal time to bring him in, with a number of midfield and attacking players out injured.
“He’s quick, skilful and gets into the right areas, and he’s also capable of playing in a number of different positions which will be important for us.
“We’re light on numbers which means Scott will get his opportunities to impress us and hopefully earn a longer deal here.”
Kashket signed his first professional contract at Orient in 2014 after developing his game as a futsal player in his youth, and also spent time in Spain with Hercules, as well as English non-league side Wingate & Finchley.
He moved on loan with Welling United at the end of last season but has been allowed to leave Brisbane Road on a free transfer, having made 22 appearances and scoring once for Orient.
