Club apologises for turnstile problems at Accrington match

Wanderers would like to apologise to fans who were inconvenienced by queues at the entrance to the terrace at Tuesday’s fixture with Accrington Stanley.

The ticket office were left short-staffed at late notice due to illness and were therefore unable to open Ticket Office 2 as normal, instead opting for a cash turnstile with only one operator.

Approximately 20 minutes before kick-off, the turnstile ran out of tickets and a printer error at Ticket Office 1 delayed the delivery of a new batch of tickets to the turnstile.

All supporters are required to obtain a printed ticket upon entry to the ground, in the event of an abandonment or evacuation of the stadium.

The club will be putting new provisions in place to ensure a more effective process in similar circumstances in future.
