Recommended area for car parking
If you arrive early enough then there is street parking to be found in side roads off Burton Stone Lane. Otherwise you may have to travel a further distance away as there are a number of residents only parking schemes. YCFC recommend the following Car Parks; Marygate CP in Frederic St (YO30 7DT), Bootham Row CP (YO30 7BP), and Union Terrace CP (YO31 7ES). All of these are around 800 yards from the stadium.
Travelling by coach?
OWWSA will be running a coach that will leave Adams Park at 08.30. Travel prices are £26 for adults, £25 for seniors, and £24 for juniors. Places cost £3 extra for non-members. If you wish to book by phone (01494 520179) or by e-mail (email@example.com) you need to do so by Thursday April 7th at 17.00 hrs.
Using the train?
Note there are engineering works on this route on this day. York is served by trains from London Kings Cross, the fastest journey time being a little over 2 hours. The best return time is at 18:00 arriving back in the capital at 20:46. York Station is around a mile from the ground and the walk will take you about 20 minutes. Turn left outside the station and follow the road down over the river. Just before you get to York Minster take a left turn past the Theatre Royal. Take the next left down Bootham. Continue along Bootham and after the Churchill Hotel turn right into Bootham Crescent.
Facilities for away fans
The ground capacity is 8,256 (seating 3,409). Away fans use turnstiles 14 to 23 in Grosvenor Road. The Grosvenor Road End for away fans is predominantly uncovered terracing and is situated behind the goal. It can hold 1,785 spectators. There are also an additional 332 covered seats available to away fans in section U of the Popular Stand, immediately to the right of the Grosvenor Road End and running along the side of the pitch.
Facilities around the ground
There is a supporters club called the Pitchside Bar, which is situated on one corner of the ground. This usually allows in away supporters. The nearest hostelry is “The Burton Stone” situated on the A19 as you near the ground. This is popular with away fans. Going back down the A19 (away from the City Centre) there is the 'Old Grey Mare' which tends to be a lot quieter. The ground is about a 15 minute walk from the City Centre where there can be found a good selection of hostelries and food outlets.
