Report: Wycombe 1-2 AFC Wimbledon

2 April 2016

Lyle Taylor struck twice to give AFC Wimbledon a deserved win at Adams Park on Saturday.

The Wombles enjoyed the better chances throughout and opened the scoring when Barry Fuller pounced on a loose ball to surge forward and feed Tom Elliott, whose unselfish square pass gave Taylor a simple finish into an empty net.

Wanderers equalised when Jason McCarthy's throw was turned into the danger area by Garry Thompson and Michael Harriman drilled home his eighth goal of the season, and played with more urgency as they looked to complete the turnaround.

But a fortunate deflection off the referee's boot sent Dannie Bulman's pass into the path of Rhys Murphy who was fouled in the area, and Taylor sent Ryan Allsop the wrong way to clinch the three points.

Full report to follow.
