QPR to visit Adams Park in July

13 April 2016

Wanderers are thrilled to announce their first pre-season friendly ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

The club have agreed a meeting with Championship side Queens Park Rangers at Adams Park on Friday 22nd July (k.o. 7.45pm).

The match will see Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth come up against the club where he earned hero status during his seven years there as a player, while Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s men could include former Chairboys keeper Matt Ingram in their squad for the game following his move to Loftus Road in January.

Ainsworth said: “Having QPR come here for a pre-season friendly is fantastic for Wycombe Wanderers, and also for me personally as it’s a club very close to my heart.

“Our friendly against Leeds in November showed how entertaining Friday night football can be and I’d like to think there will be a big turnout from both home and away fans for the game in July.

“I’d like to thank Jimmy and everyone at QPR who was able to make this game happen and of course we hope to see Matt Ingram back here for the first time in a playing capacity since he earned his move.”

Ticket details will be announced in due course, along with information of other pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

QPR's last visit to Adams Park came in July 2012, when the visitors brought 2,500 fans to the stadium to witness a 3-0 victory with goals from Jamie Mackie, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nedum Onouha.
