Wanderers fans will have access to a brand-new facility at Adams Park on Saturday following the creation of a new bar conceived by a group of supporters. The newly-formed 'Fans Council' - which comprises of members of the fanbase plus representatives from the club and Trust - met for the first time in March and highlighted a need for an alternative venue on matchdays to enjoy a pre-match drink.
As a result, a new marquee has been erected on the far side of the car park and will serve bottled beers, soft drinks, tea and coffee and confectionery.
Supporter Mark Bowring, who heads up the fans council, said: "After consulting with fans to see what they would like to see at Adams Park to enhance their matchday experience, we are delighted to have worked with the club to facilitate the new marquee which provides another area for supporters to meet up before the game.
"It is up to us as fans to make the most of the new marquee and to make it a real hub for Wycombe Wanderers supporters. Over the coming weeks and during close season we will be working hard to add new facilities with a view to having a fully-functioning 'pub-type' atmosphere.
"If you're able to help us decorate it to put our own stamp on it then please get in touch via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I look forward to seeing as many fans as possible in there on Saturday.”
The new marquee will be open for each of the remaining three home games, starting with the visit of Barnet on Saturday.
