Wanderers defender Aaron Pierre won his first international cap for Grenada on Friday evening. The 22-year-old's performance was one of the highlights in an otherwise disappointing night for the Caribbean island, who lost 3-1 to Haiti in their FIFA World Cup 2016 qualifying match.
Grenada must now over-turn that two-goal deficit when the two teams meet in the second leg of the third qualifying stage on Wednesday, after which Pierre will return to the UK in time for the Chairboys' game with Plymouth Argyle at Adams Park on Saturday.
Gareth Ainsworth said: "I'm extremely proud of Aaron. To play for your country is an outstanding achievement and unfortunately the result went against them, but I've sent him a text to say we miss you and come back injury-free."
